Cloud Surfing in Galveston
Last Wednesday we took the day off and went down to Galveston for some long glassy longboard waves. A thick fog had rolled in overnight, so in the early morning you couldn’t see farther than a few feet in front of you. It was almost more like cloud surfing in Galveston. Slide. Surfing Galveston’s New Beach?
So… who knew surfing Galveston is looking up? I had no idea that they rebuilt the beach out south of 61st street. Along with the new shoreline comes a fun set of sandbars to learn. Last weekend there was a hurricane in Mexico, so we headed out for some beach time on Sunday. With the hurricane so far away, the waves were only about 2-3 feet, but they were 10-14 seconds long!
