This black embroidered romper with white detail is so perfect for layering at the end of the day on the beach, soon to be any day as the sweltering summer swiftly approaches. I love the way the black color keeps the romper from being see-through even when layered over a wet swim suit. Romper shorts also work great for layering over a suit at the pool or the beach, because you can still recline on deck chairs or beachy setups without constantly adjusting the coverage like you would with a skirt or dress.
The golden hour is my favorite time at the beach. The colors are so pretty, and there’s a sweet sadness at the day slipping into darkness.
I’m really into beaded stretchy bracelets right now. I made all of these out of semi-precious gemstones that resonate with my sun sign, Aries. Do they bring good vibes? Who can say. I love their cool weightiness on my wrist. It’s fun to pair the semi-precious with wood and leather bracelets too. This leather band came from one of my friends. I’d love to deconstruct it and combine it with some other materials in a diy.
Speaking of diy, you could jazz up any romper with contrast embroidery using a little imagination and some fabric from Joann’s. I didn’t make this one, but I’d love to experiment. In case you don’t have the time or the interest in an embroidered romper diy, here are some similar options to what I am wearing. Everything I’m wearing is either sold out or handmade. How cute is this lemon swimsuit, though? I’m such a sucker for lemon print on a white base in Spring. A lemon yellow color focus always feels so fresh and energetic. Mine is from Ann Taylor, but this Doce & Gabbana one is even cuter.
Wondering what that sunset I’m looking at looks like? It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share 🙂
SO PRETTY!
