    Board Shaping with Robert August

During our stay in Tamarindo, we had the opportunity to attend a board shaping demo with Robert August. You may have heard of him from the movie Endless Summer, which he and his friends filmed while surfing across the world. Robert August spends most of his days now in Tamarindo, in addition to traveling here and there. If you ever get the chance to meet him, he’s very friendly and a vivid storyteller. Tamarindo Sunsets

If you’ve ever visited Tamarindo, Costa Rica, you must have experienced the breathtaking view of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean. Tamarindo sunsets have a flair for drama, washing everything with red and orange before quickly sinking on the horizon. Check out a few of these…

It’s been a little quiet on the blog this week – I’m in Costa Rica! What a dream. I’ve been surfing every day and exploring the town in Tamarindo, so there’s plenty to share when I’m back in the states and make the time for it. We took a direct Costa Rica flight into Liberia last Friday, and then drove to Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. Southwest Airlines added flights to Costa Rica from Houston not too long ago, so it was only a few hours to travel. It’s faster and more affordable for us to fly here than to California. Can you believe it? Plus, the water is warmer and we…
