Board Shaping with Robert August
During our stay in Tamarindo, we had the opportunity to attend a board shaping demo with Robert August. You may have heard of him from the movie Endless Summer, which he and his friends filmed while surfing across the world. Robert August spends most of his days now in Tamarindo, in addition to traveling here and there. If you ever get the chance to meet him, he’s very friendly and a vivid storyteller. Robert grew up in California, and was lucky enough to have a dad who would make surfboards for him. Best Souvenirs in Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Whenever you visit a new or exotic place for the first time, bringing something special back for close friends and family to share in your adventure is not only thoughtful, but also super fun. I like to play this game where I listen to my family members and come up with things they may need even though they didn’t ask for it or didn’t say it. Where to Eat in Tamarindo Dragonfly For if you’re feeling adventurous. It’s a little bit of a trek from the beach…

Tamarindo Sunsets
If you’ve ever visited Tamarindo, Costa Rica, you must have experienced the breathtaking view of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean. Tamarindo sunsets have a flair for drama, washing everything with red and orange before quickly sinking on the horizon. Since the sun sets very early around six, everyone is still up and about to see the spectacle. Nature can be such a drama queen. In looking through my photos from our trip to Tamarindo, I do wish I had carried my camera or my phone around more. This always happens. When we’re in the moment, I just want to let life be and not have the constant need…

Where to Stay in Tamarindo Costa Rica
Thinking about booking a trip to Costa Rica? Just do it. But where will you stay? What you’re interested in doing while you’re there plays a big part in where to stay in Tamarindo. Located on the Pacific side in Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica, Playa Tamarindo is a super magical place that became a well-known surfing destination after Robert August and his friends made the spot famous with the surfing movie Endless Summer. But Tamarindo has much more to offer than surfing (although the surfing is super dreamy), and it’s developed into a really cute, safe bit of paradise for tourists to experience. Check out a few of these…
