Where did the week go? Yet another one flew by, and now it’s almost November! Every day this week I put my head down into work and when I blinked the day was already over. I almost feel like I missed it, but I did get so, so much work done. Plus, this is the first weekend that I don’t have big plans in over a month. Looking forward to being able to do whatever I want to with my time this weekend. Ok, that probably means surfing Sunday. It looks like the wind may be good for a few hours and make the waves fun.
People are eating dirt? Supposedly activated charcoal has great health benefits. Food-grade activated charcoal is usually made from burnt coconut shells. I read it tastes a little chalky and leaves your teeth looking black, but activated charcoal can absorb toxins and metals from your body. Granted, it will also absorb medicines and other things that are good for our body. So do some research if you decide to add it to your regular diet. I just bought some online, so soon I’ll have about 8 tablespoons worth to make super black food or whatever else. I also read you can also make toothpaste and beauty products with activated charcoal. Have you tried this black magic unicorn dust?
This time of year is the time when you itching to knit, just as the cooler weather rolls through. It’s almost link an instinct to nest and hibernate or something. I like to stock up on this chunky Lion’s brand yarn, which you can whip up something really quickly on with a #13 set of knitting needles. Find it at Joann or Michael’s.
Etsy is really the best place to find sterling silver nose studs. Support local artists <3
When I came back to my desk from a meeting on Tuesday, an orange pumpkin bucket filled with treets grinned up at me from my desk. Been Boo’ed is floating around the office. Start one in your neighborhood or workplace if there isn’t one going on already. It’s super fun to be nice-sneaky!
1968 Soviet Russia’s Little Mermaid
Sea foam it is! There’s no happy ending here. This version keeps the original Hans Christian Anderson ending. The prince marries someone else, and the little mermaid turns into sea foam. Check out this super cool animated film of The Little Mermaid from 1968 Soviet Russia.
I wish I had the time to get into this longboard dancing! I stumbled onto this while looking into longboards for surfing. Ok, I’m already hooked and I haven’t even tried it yet. Hopefully it can be super chill, or else I’ll probably like it until I fall once, lol.
It doesn’t look tooooooo hard. Someone wrote a great post about how to start longboard dancing on Medium, which includes links to where to get a good deck for dancing on if you want to go down the rabbit hole.
And here’s the best playlist to listen to while you do that:
I’m also thinking about adding a fun waffle iron to our kitchen, since I’ve seen a few good healthy waffle recipes I’d like to try and don’t have one. Any recommendations?
