    Friday Finds

Where did the week go? Yet another one flew by, and now it’s almost November! Every day this week I put my head down into work and when I blinked the day was already over. I almost feel like I missed it, but I did get so, so much work done. Plus, this is the first weekend that I don’t have big plans in over a month. Looking forward to being able to do whatever I want to with my time this weekend. Ok, that probably means surfing Sunday. It looks like the wind may be good for a few hours and make the waves fun.   Activated Charcoal Recipes…

    DIY Embroidered Jean Jacket

Beautiful embroidery designs are everywhere on clothing right now, bringing fresh spring vibes and the promise of warmer days. My sister has an amazing embroidery machine, so we made this diy embroidered jean jacket the other day. This was such a fun sister craft! She’s quite the sewing wizard and has been making custom pieces for years. You can find her and some of her beautiful fiber crafts on instagram @plurabellaties. I couldn’t have done it without her guidance, so check out the pro tips below from her 🙂 DIY Embroidered Jean Jacket Materials Levi’s Jean Jacket – The more classic, the better. Wrangler is cool too. These diy beaded tassel earrings feature a rose gold ombre to transition well to spring, and pair with practically any other basic metal. Anything with this many seed beads can be a bit of a time commitment, but it’s worth it when they’re done because they look awesome. Wear them anywhere – a little fringe will do it. “Be at least as interested in what goes on inside you as what happens outside. If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.” – Eckhart Tolle This weekend I completed Restorative Yoga Training at Joy. The teacher leading the training, Brittany Kraft, talked about how the body has waves that you move with. For example, there’s a healthy wave at the cervical spine, the thoracic spine, the lumbar spine, and the sacrum. You don’t want to develop totally straight spine, especially not at the cervical space by your neck. Keep that in mind when you hear “lengthen your spine” or “lengthen through the crown of your head”. Most…

    When to Accessorize Flamingo

A flamingo print or flamingo pink is a fun way to welcome in Spring with playfulness and flair, and also a stylish way to bring a hint of tropical vibe with you when you’re not on the beach. Knowing when and where to best accessorize flamingo can take a little bit of finesse. On a casual day or in a work environment, a flamingo print or graphic on a striped shirt or structured piece is the way to go. For a professional business look, stick with flamingo pinks, elevated fabrics, or understated accessories to keep it classy. Of course, on the weekends when you actually do go to the beach or pool, don’t…
