On The Beach
On the beach in Matagorda, the day after Chris’s birthday, the waves were beautiful. I paddleboarded and Chris played on his shortboard. After paddleboarding for a while, I collected all kinds of seashells. Right now I am drawn to all of these navy and white seashells. I don’t know yet what I’m going to do with them, but I’m sure something will come up. For now they are displayed in a vase on the fireplace. Along with a little piece of driftwood. I spend so much time in the water, that it’s easy to forget the shoreline. When I picked up that driftwood, I remembered making silver earrings a few years…

International Surfing Day
Happy International Surfing Day! We are going to the beach, of course. I’ll take pictures. Here’s a pic Chris took of me in Surfside, and one I took of him in South Padre. I like this one because I look so determined. I hadn’t been surfing much when he took this picture. Every day is a different challenge. But I’m excited to finally be out there on a board. The swimsuit is one of my favorites. It’s a reversible Volcom suit that makes me feel like a ladybug. There are racer stripes on the other side.
