    SUP Yoga Photography Tips

    /

Last weekend I had the opportunity to work my first shift at Lake 288 with Big SUP yoga! One of the things I’m working on right now is how to take good SUP yoga photos for the students, so I thought I’d put together a list of SUP yoga photography tips. SUP Yoga Photography Tips Listen. Get an idea of everyone’s favorite pose and remember it along with their name. The sweetest sound to a person is the sound of their own name. While running through an intro about what it will be like on the water, throw in a few ice breakers and invite the students to introduce themselves,…

Likely By SUP – SUP Yoga Teacher Training!

    /

Last weekend was marked by an amazing time on the lake in SUP Yoga Teacher Training! Friday through Sunday, I joined 11 other yoga teachers for SUP yoga teacher training through the BIG SUP yoga program. It is so awesome to spent 3 days in the outdoors on the water, surrounded by other yogis with their varied yoga backgrounds. What’s SUP Yoga? You have the most amazing view across the waters of the lake, through the trees and over the clouds. The…

    Stand Up and Paddleboard

    /

Chris and I finally broke away from work life to go down to Matagorda together with the new stand up paddleboard. Since he just started a new job in Port La Vaca, he is down there almost every day. But for me, I am so busy with my job, yoga teacher training, and renovating the house, that it has been a while. The drive never bothers us. It’s only about an hour an a half to the beach, and Chris and I like taking the time to talk about this and that – local histories, photography, side-adventures. The water is almost warm enough to go in without a wetsuit. We…

Hello!

Artist and writer in Houston, painting my way through a slower kind of life. Likely By Sea is where the studio spills into everything else — watercolor and process, slow craft, whole-food cooking, coastal days, and the small style-and-living notes in between. Trained as a fine artist; the rest just follows the same eye.
