    Friday Finds

Where did the week go? Yet another one flew by, and now it’s almost November! Every day this week I put my head down into work and when I blinked the day was already over. I almost feel like I missed it, but I did get so, so much work done. Plus, this is the first weekend that I don’t have big plans in over a month. Looking forward to being able to do whatever I want to with my time this weekend. Ok, that probably means surfing Sunday. It looks like the wind may be good for a few hours and make the waves fun.   Activated Charcoal Recipes…

    Friday Finds

This Friday finds my mind wandering. Ever since a frenzy of summer travel and finding myself stuck in Costa Rica after Hurricane Harvey, I’ve had trouble keeping up with my content here! I had so many amazing late summer, travel, and fall articles planned. They are written, just maybe they are not fully edited or are lacking photos or just not quite… perfect. To be honest with you, after that two weeks in Costa Rica, I came home with fresh eyes and started redecorating, refreshing, repainting the whole house and my personal schedule. In Santa Fe

Although Santa Fe has plenty to offer as a city, and so much creativity to enjoy, most of my time in Santa Fe was actually spent just outside of Santa Fe. My grandparents had a house in the foothills, which we would hike through on brisk days collecting fossils, arrowheads, and passing Native American burial grounds. I remember my sister and I wore maroon hiking boots and a fleece sweater over shorts. My dad would always pick up a big stick and whittle it down a bit, a walking stick to mark our way to wide desert sky sunsets. Out of the inspiring landscapes of Santa Fe’s loner outskirts comes…

Where to Find Jewelry Supplies in Santa Fe

You can find the most beautiful jewelry in Santa Fe, whether it be traditional Native American, distinctly Southwestern, or have a modern minimal vibe. Since Santa Fe has so many artists living nearby, it also follows that you can also find the most amazing jewelry supplies in Santa Fe. I usually order from these stores online, and love the opportunity to stop by in person to check out what they have in stock. To be fair, some of the best jewelry supply stores are in the Albuquerque area as well. Artists tend to commute between these two cities, since the cost of living in Albuquerque is much more reasonable. Santa…

8 Adventures to Do on a Day in Manhattan

New York is a massively big city that you can find anything and everything to do it. What to decide on? My strategy when visiting a place is to pick one or two things that I really want to do, and then flow with whatever else comes my way. Here’s a list of a few fun things to do in the city the next time you’re there! Visit the Museum of Modern Art. Or any museum in New York for that matter. There are so many good ones! My favorite is the MoMA, followed by the MET, the Guggenheim, and Chelsea in general. Walk the Highline. Deena brought me on…
