Gotterdammerung Opening Night at the Houston Grand Opera
It’s been a little quieter over here on the blog lately. Where have I been? Too, too busy, and it has been so worth it. For the past few weeks, we’ve been rehearsing for Gotterdammerung, the last of the Ring Cycles at the Houston Grand Opera. I’m one of the aerial supers! The holidays are upon us! The first weeks following Thanksgiving always tumble by in a blur of holiday planning and parties leading up to Christmas. I love this burgundy one-shoulder holiday dress because it’s just so soft and comfortable. It’s technically more of a knit day dress than a party dress, but the best party outfits to me are sneaky – where they look really nice but would actually be cozy enough for lounging. Bewitched: Black Dress, Black Cat
Can you keep a secret? I know he can. This black dress is everything. It has a dramatic keyhole front, bell sleeves, and a criss-cross corset style back that laces down and loops into the base of the skirt. Do you ever put on one of those dresses that makes you feel like… a better woman? This midi-length summer dress from Anthropologie is my dreamy summer dress come true. It’s so flowy and ethereal, that one of my friends suggested someone follow me around with a fan for effect all day. Although, nature takes care of that.
