Whole30 Book Review
The Whole30! Today I have officially completed the Whole30, and I actually wish that it weren’t over yet. I’m thinking about continuing this into a Whole60, and at the least integrating a paleo eating plan. I accomplished this with my yoga studio, Joy Yoga, which started a Whole30 clean eating challenge in March. It seemed like great timing to address my diet. ‘As the saying goes: “Argue for your limitations and you get to keep them.”’ – Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear I’ve been thinking about this quote a lot lately – I’m actually loving this entire book. It is so inspirational for me! I’ve been acquiring many books lately through yoga teacher training recommendations. For many of them, I only have time to thumb through, grasp the big picture, and store away for later when I will be able to take the time to read through them word for word. 10 Green Smoothies to Start Your Week
Green smoothies are the best way to start the week of right. A healthy breakfast at the beginning of the day just makes Mondays a little bit better. All you need is a trip to the grocery store and a blender. This is my go-to favorite green smoothie recipe, and it’s great for muscle recovery: Most Delicious Green Smoothie Recipe Ingredients: Banana, mango, pineapple, spinach, chard, kale, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, chia seeds (optional). Instructions: Fill the blender (I use a Nutri-Bullet) with equal parts of the fruits and veggies. Add almond milk up to the baseline of the ingredients, and a tablespoon or two of chia seeds on top.
