Will a JCrew bikini beach well? Yes!
This is not specifically a performance swimsuit, but the print is cute, the cut is darling, and it’s perfect for chilling on the beach or by the pool. I like to wear this bikini while I relax with a book under a cabana at a beachside pool. Or at any pool with cabanas, really. If there’s no cabana nearby, a wide-brimmed floppy beach hat will do.
JCrew bikinis aren’t too challenging to order on the internet. If you know me, you know I’m really too busy to have the time to make it to stores while they are open, so most of my purchases are made online. The JCrew bikini cuts are very forgiving, true to the size chart, and I love how helpful the customer reviews are. A lot of my friends claim they are “over” JCrew, but I just can’t move on. They’re so classic, and they have so many options. The hardest part for me is choosing which cute bikini pattern to buy.
The print on my bikini is sold out right now, but the pineapple print top is a similar color and so adorable. My two favorite silhouettes in JCrew bikini tops are the underwire halter, and the French style that ties at the top of the shoulders. The underwire halter is easy to put on, and looks so good. The French style is so comfortable. It looks easy to put on, but you do have to take more time because it has armholes, similar to a soft bra cut. I prefer easy halter tops.
The matching pineapple bottoms are perfect for beaching. The surf hipster cut is complimentary and a little cheeky. I love the way that when shopping for a bikini at JCrew, you have the option to choose the silhouette you prefer in the print you like. Many of my friends go for the popular high-waisted bikini bottoms. These are so cute, but since I’m a little hippy it’s really never been a good look for you. If you recently had a baby, though, these can be a lifesaver. The one piece swimsuits are also adorable at JCrew. This season they are carrying the high-neck halter style, and they also have some strappy back styles that look interesting on anyone. I prefer these regular coverage bikini bottoms. Like always, I go for a classic cut in a fun print.
