Geometric Nails are one of my favorite and frequent motifs. They’re clean, crisp, and easier to paint than most other designs. Think about it – it’s just a bunch of straight lines.

Tips & Tricks:
Worried about painting with your non dominant hand? Don’t. Hold the nail brush in one hand, and brace your wrist or forearm against a table. Move your other hand under the brush to draw the geometric line precisely where it needs to go.
When choosing colors for geometric nails, think about contrast between polish texture. For example, disco gold looks great over soft semi matte pastel pink. For wintery months, oil slick iridescent grey looks great with matte black lines. A sophisticated color relationship helps keep nail art from looking cheesey.
Clean up cuticles with a q-tip dipped in polish remover.
Make sure to buff and clip nails before painting. Along with a really high quality base coat, this keeps my nails lasting all week. I am so demanding on them! Between trapeze, aerial fabrics, surfing, and rushing to and from, my nails need to be set up for success or they are toast in a day.
Only use five free polish. I prefer Julep. Not only are they chemically safe for you, but they also come out with the trendiest colors every month.
