Even though it’s so hot outside, summer is starting to wind down as fall styles come flooding into stores. It can be hard to think about adding layers when the heat makes me feel so tired and heavy. Hair, clothes, bags – everything feels heavy and I just want to take a nap. Thank goodness we have air conditioning in Texas!

The most exciting jacket style this fall is the bomber jacket, but I’ve got my eye on a few leather moto jackets this season too. For early layering, go for a jean jacket that you can toss over sleeveless or long-sleeved outfits as the weather cools down.
Fall Shoe Styles
A girl can never have too many shoes. So many options, so little time. Fall musts include sneakers, block heels, over the knee boots, and a good pair of booties. Or three. Basic black is anything but boring, but I’m aiming for a cool grey or warm burgundy shade of booties this year.
Fall Purse Styles
A leather satchel tops my list for fall purses. A nice leather satchel is spacious enough to fit a laptop on a work day, in burnished brown or deep cool taupe leather tones for fall. When carrying a satchel, make sure to tuck in a clutch or large wallet big enough to hold phone, money, and makeup in case you need to take the load off during lunchtime. For lighter days, sport a saddlebag crossbody with an interesting top flap.

Fall Sweater Styles
Even though it’s hard to think about things warming up with the warm temperatures outside, I love a good graphic print, sleeveless turtleneck, and floral crop sweater.

Fall Bottom Styles
It’s nice to have a waist again. With all of the flowing tunics in my closet lately I’d almost forgotten. Cinch it in a jumpsuit, flippy denim skirt, or cigarette pants.
Fall Jewelry
One of the best parts about the nineties fashion comeback is all of the throwback jewelry styles. Chokers, y-necklaces, half-moon crescent pendants, pearl focals, and threaded earrings. I could go on and on.
