Favorite Tea Recipes:

  1. Chai Tea – 1 ginger root thumb and 3 cardamom pods run through mortar + pestle, 1/2 cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 2 all spice kernels, 1 star anise. Bring 1 medium pot of clean water to rolling boil for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to simmer and add one black tea bag for 2-3 minutes. Add coconut milk and almond milk to match the water ratio. Enjoy! Fun tip: refrigerate any extra tea and enjoy iced chai for up to 2 days.
  2. Herbal Citrus Tea – Add 1 lemon, 1 orange, 1 piece of ginger to a pot and bring to a rolling boil for 10 minutes. Top off any black iced tea with this for a fun summer twist.
  3. Hibiscus Mint Tea – Pick up fresh hibiscus petals and mint from the farmers market. Run 1/4 cup hibiscus leaves and 1/4 cup mint through mortar + pestle, and add to a large jar of cool water with 1 sliced lemon to steep for 24 hrs. Sweeten with honey.
