Paleo Witch Fingers Recipe for Halloween

paleo witch fingers

Are you a good witch, or are you a bad witch?

These paleo witch fingers combine two of my favorite things: Halloween spirit and healthy protein snacks. One of the most fun things about Halloween is coming up with funny ways to make your snacks spooky. I love eating protein treats made from nuts and dates rather than brownies, for obvious reasons. The sugar in brownies makes me tired, cranky, and anxious. Protein treats do the opposite! They give me energy and help build muscle. With a little quick molding, you can make these protein balls into spooky witch fingers for a fun snack.

Paleo Witch Fingers Ingredients

2 Pitted Dates, Chopped
1/3 Cup Almonds
1/3 Cup Cashews
1/3 Cup Walnuts
4-5 Raw Almonds
1 Tbsp Cocoa

Paleo Witch Fingers Directions

In a food processor, blend together the chopped dates and water. Add the almonds, cashews, and walnuts to the food processor, along with the cocoa, until well blended.

Divide the mixture into 8-10 pieces, and shape them into fingers. It comes out a little better if you exaggerate the boniness of knuckles. Think about what a witch’s finger might really look like. Maybe she has arthritis because she’s a really old hag. Or maybe she has young, youthful shaped fingers because she cast a spell to keep her hands looking young with her wicked witch skills.

Half 4-5 almonds, and press them into the ends of the “fingers” as nails.

That’s it! It’s so easy. Enjoy these witchy treats with your ghoul-friends. These look great next to some spooky paleo apple bites as a healthy treat at a themed party.
