Eyelet Lace Tanks: Prettiest Ways to Wear White

How cute are these shorts with this white eyelet lace tank, though? As it gets warmer in Houston, my clothes get lighter. I can’t tell you how much white I’ll wear between now and September. And then black. I’m a bit of a minimalist-closet girl.

My sister and I laugh about how it is when you go to the beach. When you first drive up, you look really cute and are mesmerized by the beautiful scenery. But then, the windy weather. The beach is really no place for cuteness, or structured blue lace shorts. It can only last for about a minute or so. This is really a little too well accessorized for the beach, but not for the brunch we went to earlier. Live a little.

Once we found our surf spot and settled in, Chris surfed and I just relaxed, read a book, and took pictures. And a nap. What better way is there to spend a Saturday? The waves were decent and I would have loved to have gone in! Look at how cute and excited Chris looks. So much fun.

Sometimes I have days like this at the beach where I just pass out instead of getting out in the ocean like I thought I would. Chris says it’s because I’m being charged with negative ions or something. I looked it up, and apparently the ocean has a 2:1 ratio of negative:positive ions. An abundance of positive ions is considered an unhealthy environment with polluted air, frequently found in inner cities. Negative ions stimulate your system so your body can function better and more efficiently. It all sounds very scientific and complicated, but basically negative ions increase your sense of well-being and mental clarity. They normalize seratonin production in your brain, which can improve your mood and make you sleep better.

Just look at how happy he is! He has definitely been negatively ionized.
