The holidays are upon us! The first weeks following Thanksgiving always tumble by in a blur of holiday planning and parties leading up to Christmas. I love this burgundy one-shoulder holiday dress because it’s just so soft and comfortable. It’s technically more of a knit day dress than a party dress, but the best party outfits to me are sneaky – where they look really nice but would actually be cozy enough for lounging.
Since the dress has a fold-over collar, it’s pretty versatile when it comes to styling. This dress is actually designed as a full off-shoulder dress, but lately I’ve preferred to just pull one shoulder down.
It’s a good idea to be able to move easily in whatever you’re wearing, especially the shoes. I have really sensitive feet, so extravagantly complicated shoes can really wear on me after a few hours.Some shoes may look and feel great at first, but sneak a toe pinch or rub a blister a few hours into the night. These peep-toe sling-back wedges are pretty comfortable, and the broad wedge surface makes them easy to stand on for hours at a time. Make sure to break in your shoes before the night! That may seem obvious, but it’s easy to forget.
Top it all off with a dainty rose-gold choker and a detailed fold-over clutch! I’m also loving this fun triple-wrap bracelet with a magnetic clasp. It’s made from the softest beige suede with a skinny sparkle fabric overlay. Oh, and don’t forget the ultra-dark burgundy polish on your toes! It’s a great contrast to the lighter tones in the wedges.
